Dave Bowers has been writing software since he was 15 years old when he first got his hands on the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A and Commodore PET computers. In High School he quickly advanced and then began studying computer science at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. After graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, he went to work immediately for the State of South Dakota writing software for the Dept. of Transportation. After a couple years working there, he transferred to McDonnell Douglas in Bellevue, NE. The early experience paid off and he later went to work learning the newest technologies in object oriented programming including C/C++ and Visual Basic. He soon began developing Microsoft Access databases and working in Oracle at the First National Bank of Omaha in downtown Omaha, NE. After a short stint helping to study ozone pollution in the Swiss Alps at the Univ. of Berne in Switzerland, Mr Bowers then went on to work in private consulting, including for the State of South Dakota again in Pierre, SD and then later in Colorado in year 2000 developing several Microsoft Access databases, C++ and Visual Studio.
Now Bowers Freelance Software, LLC, founded in 2000 is here to help in custom software development. For the last several years he has deployed a visual studio web application via ASP.Net technology, Crystal Reports, and SQL Server. Mr. Bowers can develop your application from front-end to back, including database tables and views, user interface, and reports. He also has arranged an affordable way for small businesses to own custom software or simple website. He can also help with office computer issues, virus problems, software installations, computer training, video editing and VHS to digitial transfers.
Dave also has a passionate interest in local food, delicious recipes, and holistic nutrition with butter, cream and eggs. His other business is The Organic Fool where he advocates for local farming, local economy, and back to the land diet. Dave is also a DJ at KHEN radio and is host of the show Local Motion (Fridays 4-6pm). He is a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation , a certified nutrition consultant and permaculture teacher, operates a food booth at the local Salida farmers market during the summer, and sells high-vitamin cod liver oil. He resides in Salida, CO where he enjoys working from his home office and watching beautiful sunsets over Mt. Shavano from his front porch with a refreshing homemade kombucha.

Bowers Freelance Software has worked closely with the IT department of this medium-sized business that generates over 25 million in sales each year.
