BackACTIVE EVENT MANAGER 2001
The Active Event Manager 2001 is used by 15 states to manage the State games, equivalent to the Olympics on a state-wide scale. Enhancing an existing interface, among several other additions, I added the ability to download participant and sport data from an FTP site. I then updated the backend Access 97 or Access 2000 tables according to the correct relationships using DAO. The enhancements also included the ability to edit and add new sporting and registration data, as well as interfacing existing back-end reports in Access. This application was written using Visual Basic 6.0, ADO 2.1 collections and classes, DAO 3.6, and Jet 4.0.
Below, participants register online for events, which are then downloaded later using the above Active Event Manager system.
